AFTER CARE

AFTER CARE

Follow these simple instructions for a smooth healing process

First Day/Night:

  • Keep the bandage on for a minimum of 6 hours or overnight.

  • If bleeding occurs on the first night, gently remove any dried blood. If needed, dampen the area with lukewarm water and carefully cleanse the tattoo by gently using the palm of your hand until it is clean.

  • If necessary, use a new cling film bandage or second skin to protect the tattoo and prevent any fabric or dirt from sticking to it at night.

Taking off the Bandage and Cleaning Your Tattoo:

  • Ensure your hands are clean, and use unscented antibacterial soap.

  • Carefully remove the bandage, wetting it if it sticks.

  • Create a lather with soap and warm water, gently cleaning the tattoo in a circular motion.

  • Rinse gently, pat dry with a paper towel (never use toilet paper!), and let it air dry for at least 10 minutes.

  • Apply a small amount of Bepanthen, Aquaphor, or any tattoo cream, gently rubbing it in. Dab off any excess with a paper towel.

Your Daily Tattoo Aftercare Routine:

  • Apply a thin coat of cream 2-3 times a day for the first 5-7 days or until peeling begins.

  • Once peeling starts, switch to a fragrance-free lotion for an additional 2 weeks.

  • Your tattoo should be fully healed within 2-4 weeks.

Important Dos and Don’ts:

  • Use clean towels, bedding, and clothes during the healing process.

  • Showering is fine, but avoid soaking your tattoo for at least 2 weeks.

  • Protect your tattoo from direct sunlight for at least 2 weeks, and afterward, use SPF 50+ sunblock when exposed to sunlight.

  • Opt for loose, preferably cotton clothing, and avoid tight accessories over the fresh tattoo.

  • Refrain from scratching or picking scabs, as it may affect the healing and pigmentation of the tattoo.

Remember, your tattoo is a work of art—treat it with care for lasting beauty!
